SRC: The Kristy Kringle

What you need

1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon fresh ginger, peeled and sliced thin
½ ounce Gran Marnier (or orange flavored liqueur)
1½ ounces Grey Goose Vodka
Juice of ¼ of an orange
1 ounce fresh lime juice (1 or 2 limes)
4 tablespoons sugar, divided
2 tablespoons water
3 1" piece of peeled apple (gala, pink lady, fuji, braburn)

How to do it

1. In a small bowl, combine cinnamon with 2 tablespoons sugar until.

2. Pour onto a small plate and shake to spread out the cinnamon/sugar evenly.In a small bowl, add water and 2 tablespoons sugar. Microwave for 30 seconds; stir. Continue to microwave for 5 to 10 seconds at a time until sugar is melted. Set aside simple syrup.In a cocktail shaker, muddle apple and ginger until apples are totally smashed.

3. Add vodka, Gran Marnier, lime juice, orange juice, and simple syrup to shaker. Give everything a quick stir.Using your juice orange, run the flesh of the orange along the rim of your cocktail glass. Dip the glass rim into the cinnamon/sugar.

4. Add ice, and strain your cocktail into the glass.

5. Garnish glass and enjoy!
