Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Bars

What you need

1 cup all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
1/2 cup pumpkin puree
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted, cooled
1/2 teaspoon vanilla

How to do it

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour an 8 x 8 inch baking dish.

2. Whisk together butter and browned sugar.

3. Whisk in egg and vanilla. Fold in flour, salt, pumpkin spice and pumpkin puree.

4. Mix well. Fold in chocolate chips. Scoop and spread mixture evenly into prepared pan.

5. Bake for 35 - 40 minutes or until toothpick inserted comes out clean.

6. Remove from oven and allow to cool several minutes before slicing.
